Timberlandy: powrót traperów w wielkim stylu (Timberlands: the return of worker boots in big style)

Buciory. Trapery. Kiedyś mieszkając w stanach, chłopaki w liceum nosili je zimą i nawet latem. Żółte Timberlandy słynęły z tego, że nadawały się i dla robotników na budowie (stąd nazwa worker boots), i podczas miejskiej chlapy. 

Nic by mnie nie przekonało do założenia damskiej wersji tych butów, nawet podczas śnieżycy, nawet za darmo. Zawsze kojarzyły mi się z farbą i kurzem, którymi były pokryte u panów siedzących na manhattańskim rusztowaniu. Albo z hiphopowcami, rozsznurowane, i pokryte opadającymi luźnymi portkami.

Przez jakiś czas wyszły z mody, choć nadal było widać dużo czarnych, żółtych czy beżowych Timberlandów. Podobne trapery wprowadziły do swojej oferty firmy takie jak Nike czy Reebok.

Podobały mi się u facetów klasyczne Timberlandy, ale tylko w stylu casual. Do garnituru - raczej nie. Do szortów - tym bardziej. Ale z ładnymi dżinsami, dlaczego nie. Kobiety też zaczęły je nosić.

Dziś te buciory powracają, i to w jakim stylu! Są wyszywane sztucznym futerkiem, są w kolorze różowym, mają koturny czy szpilkę. Któregoś dnia jadąc samochodem zakochałam się w pewnej parze na obcasie. To są buciory, które nawet ja bym założyła!

Timberlands: the return of worker boots in big style

Worker boots. While still living in the US, the guys in my high school wore them in winter and even in summer. Yellow Timberlands were famous for the fact that they were ideal for construction workers (hence the name, worker boots), and during slushy days in the city.

Nothing would convince me to wear worker boots for women, even during a snowstorm, even for free. I always associated with paint and dust, which covered the boots of men sitting on Manhattan's scaffolding. Or with hip hop lovers, shoelaces unlaced, and covered with loose low-rise pants.

For some time, they went out of fashion, but we could still see a lot of black or beige or yellow Timberlands. Companies such as Nike or Reebok introduced similar boots to their collections.

I liked the classic Timberlands on guys, but only in a casual style. With a suit - not really. With shorts - even more of a no-no. But with nice jeans, why not. Women have also started to wear them, [and work them quite well].

Today, these boots are back [in full swing], and in what style! They feature shearling inside, come in colors like pink, or have a wedge or heel. One day while driving, I fell in love with a pair of high heeled worker boots. Now these are the kind of worker boots that even I would wear!
